South Petherton C of E Infants and Pre-School PTGA
We are a group of parents, carers, teachers and school governors who organise a range of social events for children and families throughout the year. Some of our regular events include a Quiz Night, Christmas Fayre, Family Easter Bingo and Summer Fayre.
The money we raise is used to provide varied educational and enrichment experiences and resources for all children at the School and Pre-School. Recently, the PTGA has provided furniture for the Library, Mathletics Subscriptions for Reception, Year 1 and 2 children, new play equipment for Pre-school and Reception, and maths equipment to support children's learning in all classes. We have also funded extra-curricular activities such as school trips to see a Pantomime at the Octagon Theatre, covered Minibus costs for Forest School and Outdoor Learning at Frogmary Green Farm, and even provided an after-school disco, a children’s entertainer and a Pirate Workshop!
Anyone from the wider school community is welcome to support the PTGA by attending meetings when we plan and organise events (usually held in the pub), by volunteering to help set up events or bake cakes, or simply by remembering to use Easyfundraising or Amazon Smile whilst shopping online for goods and services so that we receive free donations, and by registering your Co-op Card to support the school in a share of the Co-op Community Fund.
